Monica recently pivoted into the wine industry when she joined WISE in April of 2022. Prior to her career transition, Monica taught 4th grade in Cumberland County, North Carolina. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from North Carolina State University in May 2020. During her time in as an educator, Monica held various roles with the National Education Association and its state and local affiliates, advocating for public education. In her role as the Swiss Army Knife at WISE, Monica spends most of her time overseeing class operations, scheduling and communicating with WISE Coaches, coordinating custom coaching logistics, and assisting with content formatting.
In her free time, Monica can be found weightlifting at her local gym, reading, or hiking through the beautiful mountains of West Jefferson, North Carolina, where she currently resides with her husband and dog.
